Back from Borneo!
April 9, 2009 by Luka

After seven weeks of travelling to Egypt and Borneo I am finally back home to Slovenia. Home sweet home! Borneo is an island full of surprises and extremes and travelling there was not an easy time! It is a special place that makes you cry in one moment and jump for joy in the next.
More photos will follow shortly, but for now just this baby Orangutan. His name is Peter and he is an orphan at a logging camp in Kalimatan (Indonesian Borneo). With my girlfriend we are trying to get him to a rehabilitation centre that he would get a proper care and attention. Not an easy thing to do!

This blog is about my two greatest passions; photography and travelling. I want to share my experiences with as many people as possible. If you like this place, leave me a comment and show it to your friends as well! Enjoy!

And now we wait for some great photos i guess
Oh yes, wellcome back.
yeah! I know exactly what you mean. Borneo is really an amazing place to see! I love it! i love the nature and those big rain forests as well as those nice cities and great people … cant wait to see photos from your journey
Welcome home! And get those photos ready soon. I’m already biting my nails.
And I can’t see the baby orangutan!
((
welcome home my m8. hurry up with those photos
Thx for comments guys! Ana, try to look harder;)
And yes, the other photos will follow next week…
At first I didn’t see the orangutan photo, then yesterday I saw it, and now it’s gone again. I’m using firefox. At least one more person has the same problems. Believe me, I am looking hard!
Ok, i fixed the problem. It looks like Google changed his Picassa Albums policy. until now I was hosting photos there and linking to the blog, but it looks like they disabled this feature.
Anyway, Zenfolio works great and faster…
Can’t wait to see the photos! And… welcome back
Nice photo Luka, if u have time to visit Berau ( Borneo) Again, I’ll show you the monitoring place of orang utan…
the journey is great, through the wide river and stay in the midlle of the Jungle, and you can climb the tower with 40 m high to see the beautiful view….
thanks for sharing. Great pictures
